AHPI Manipur decries bomb threat to doctor

Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI), Manipur Chapter has denounced the grenade threat at the residence of KARKINOS Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre director-cum- CEO Dr GS Moirangthem located at Chingmeirong Maning Leikai on December 27.In a release, AHPI Manipur expressed concern over rising incidents of violence and intimidation directed at doctors, healthcare facilities, and their families.
"These acts are not only alarming but also demoralising, potentially undermining the dedication and motivation of doctors who are committed to patient care and societal well-being," it said, condemning the acts of violence and coercion aimed at the medical community and society at large.
Calling for an immediate cessation of all violent acts against the medical fraternity, the release said that these actions not only harm individuals but also dismpt the healthcare system, which is crucial for the well-being of society.
The AHPI Manipur Chapter then appealed to all parties concerned to respect the fundamental rights of healthcare professionals and the invaluable services they provide to the public.
