Bishnupur, August 27 2024: A reception programme in honour of newly appointed members of administrative committees of Gram Panchayats of Phubala, Ngangkhalawai, Tronglaobi, Terakhongshangbi and Kwakta under Moirang assembly constituency and Zilla Pari-shad of Phubala, Tronglaobi, Terakhongshangbi and Kwakta was organised by National People's Party (NPP) Moirang Block at Yumkhaibam Man-dop, Moirang on Tuesday The programme was attended by Moirang MLA Th Shanti Singh as chief guest and NPP Moirang president Ph Magha Singh as president, while political affairs committee chairman S Kumar Singh and MLA Moirang Office chief advisor Y Modhu Singh were the guests of honour.

As part of the event, MLA Shanti presented NPP stoles to 72 people including chairpersons of administrative committees of four GPs under Moirang AC, two members of Ngangkhalawai and Kwakta Saiton ZP, three former GP members and 46 people who joined NPP from other political parties.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Shanti urged all concerned not to politicise the ongoing conflict, but strive to forge unity to defeat elements inimical to progress and integrity of Manipur.
