Imphal, June 04 2025: The mortal remains of Rifleman Kabrabam Ibomcha (33) of 8th Manipur Rifles was claimed by family members after a post mortem at RIMS morgue this afternoon.

The Rifleman, s/o (L) Sanaton of Serou, pumped in 3 rounds of bullets into his abdomen yesterday afternoon with his service weapon (Insas Rifle).

The incident occurred at the 8th Manipur Rifles post located at Khongnang Pheisabi under Sugnu Police Station in Kakching district The dead body was kept at RIMS morgue since yesterday evening after a State forensic expert team conducted on spot inquest of the dead body and its surrounding area.

A case was also registered at Sugnu police station in this connection.
