Lamlai MLA censures minister Nemcha

Imphal, January 02 2025: Lamlai MLA and chairman of Manipur Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation Limited (MHHDCL), Kh Ibomeha has strongly criticised commerce and industries minister Nemcha Kipgen over the latter's alleged partisan remark describing certain parts of the state as Kuki-controlled area.

Addressing the media at the MHHDCL office on Tuesday-, Ibomcha held the minister responsible for Kuki militants attacking Meetei villages like Thamnapokpi, Sanasabi, Shanti Khongbal, Sabungkhok Khunou and nearby areas.

While pointing out that the Kuki militants ceased attacking the Meetei villages since December 28 only after security forces launched massive operation and took control of Thamnapokpi Uyokching and Yaingangpokpi Uyokching areas, the Lamlai MLA opined that as a responsible public representative, Nemcha should not cover up the facts and instead contribute her mite in resolving the crisis.
