Imphal, October 10 2023:
The CorCom has called a total shutdown all over Manipur (Kangleipak) from 6 am to 6 pm on October 15 .
CorCom has been observing October 15, the day India allegedly annexed Manipur, as National Black Day, said a press release issued by its Publicity Committee.
Colluding with their Congress party collaborators, India annexed Manipur (Kangleipak) in 1949. Now in 2023, the Government of India engineered a communal conflict in Manipur by using the puppet Government and their henchmen, it alleged.
As a result of the communal conflict allegedly engineered by the Government of India, a large number of innocent people have been killed, many people are missing and a strong feeling of animosity has gripped several ethnic groups who were hitherto living together in peace as brothers, it said.
At a G20 meeting, Modi said '...in the holy land of Buddha and Gandhi..' referring to India but he has been instigating violence and bloodshed in Manipur for Manipur is not a part of India, the CorCom said.
When Modi visited Manipur on November 30, 2014, CorCom termed it a bad omen for the people of Manipur and it has turned out to be true today, it said.
What the Government of India craves for are the land and natural resources of Manipur but they despise the indigenous people of Manipur, it claimed.
The CorCom alleged that the Government of India has been scheming to ignite bloodshed and internal wars among the ethnic groups of Manipur to transform the State into a land dominated by Indian people.
It then called upon all the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) to wake up and see the conspiracies of India.
Saying that Manipur belongs to all the people settled within its boundary, the CorCom called upon all the ethnic groups to promote peaceful co-existence and collective development, and to wage war against India collectively.
Emergency and medical services, media and religious ceremonies would be exempted from the purview of the total shutdown, it added.
