Tamenglong, December 09 2018: What we promised we delivered and we have started delivering timely, whether it is road, women's market, helicopter service, MST service, Doctor's Transit house, Tamenglong water supply scheme, FCI godown, SBI Tamei Branch this is called governance lamented the Chief Minister of Manipur N.Biren Singh while inaugurating 15th State Level Orange Festival as a Chief Guest at Tamenlong District headquarter.

While delivering his chief guest speech he assured to all the orange growers of Tamenglong that under the start-up plan program the government will provide financial help to whosesoever comes with details blue print of the land, number of orange plants planted along with the photographs with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong.CM also further directed the department of Horticulture to set up a research team within a week especially for the Tamenglong orange to look into the problems faced by the orange growers of Tamenglong.

Under the SAMPADA Scheme or from the state fund cold storage will also be set up very soon for the orange growers of Tamenglong assured the chief guest.

From the year 2014 to 2018 the orange production haven't increased from 43.81 metric ton, systematically technically the orange growers as well as the committee need to work together for the better production of oranges in Tamenglong added the CM of Manipur.

He also further requests the people of Tamenglong to choose whether to celebrate Amur Falcon festival or Orange Festival as a state festival from next year under the chairmanship of Chief Minister of Manipur.

Land encroachments in District Court and Jail, District Information Offices, Horticulture and Fishery office will be solved with the help of District Administration very soon stated CM of Manipur.

Horticulture and Soil Conservation Minister Th.Shyam Kumar, CAFD Minister, Karam Shyam, Tamenglong MLA,Samuel Jendai, Tamei MLA, Awangbou Newmai attended the 15th State Level Orange Festival as President and Guest of Honour respectively.

Tamenglong MLA Samuel Jendai in his guest of honour speech said that orange festival brings us the bond of love of each other from nook and corner of the state.

He also requests the orange farmers to set up one society very soon to look into the production of oranges in the district.

It won't be wrong to say that the Tamenglong is the profounder of festivals in Manipur, because of the orange festivals today we are witnessing so many festivals in Manipur added Shri Samuel Jendai.

Chief Minister of Manipur N.Biren Singh today launch a news website of one of the most circulated newspaper in Tamenglong during the inaugural function of the orange festivals.

Altogether 173 orange growers participated during the 15th Orange Festival.

Orange growers also share their experiences during the festivals.

Various District administration office also open government stalls during the festivals giving information to the people who attended the function today, More than thousand people attended the festivals today.
