Imphal, December 26 2010:
Patsoi A/C MLA Sapam Kunjeshore (Keba) has categorically stated that the death of Longjam Inaobi of Patsoi Part I was not a case of suicide but murder.
Inaobi was found hung to dead inside the toilet of Kangabam Pritam of Kangabam Leikai.
In protest against the controversial death of Inaobi, a protest demonstration, under the aegis of the particular JAC constituted in connection with the death of Longjam Inaobi, was staged today at Patsoi Part I blocking NH 53 .
Notably, the JAC and the family members are still refusing to claim the corpse of Inaobi contending that Inaobi was mercilessly thrashed to dead before being hung up to present it as a case of suicide.

The corpse is still lying at RIMS mortuary.
Many speakers who addressed the public gathering at the site of the protest demonstration lamented that not ordering inquiring in the incident is against the customs and ethics of Manipuri society.
Such arrogance driven by material wealth of the Kangbam family is an open act of insulting the people of Patsoi, they asserted.
They demanded that all those involved in the murder should be booked and punished according to law.
MLA Sapam Kunjeshore said that Inaobi's death is not a case of suicide but murder and is well testified by all the wounds visible on Inaobi's body.
Even if Inaobi had committed some faults, he should have been punished according to law.
But trying to make a false story of suicide after murdering a man cannot befool the people, Kunjeshore said.
He also called upon the JAC not to be discouraged but to carry on different movement in unity for the sake of justice.
He further proposed to launch more democratic form of agitation to exert pressure on the Government if the Government does not take up necessary actions to deliver justice in the alleged murder case.
The meeting resolved to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister so that the culprits are booked and punished according to law and also to launch more intense modes of agitation if the Government fails to book the murderers.
