Imphal, August 22 2015 :
Fervently appealing to all concerned to maintain restraint from spreading any rumour in the backdrop of unrest that prevails in the State, the All Manipur Christian Organi-sation (AMCO) urged the authority concerned to take up immediate measure in case any rumour is spread before the matter turns ugly.
As for instance, the reported 'quit notice' with 'ultimatum' to the Kuki community through Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC) office, a religious institution, is not only unfortunate but highly condemnable, a statement issued by information and pu- blicity secretary of AMCO Rev Simon Raomei said.
"Let us not forget the age-old bond of love and fraternity among all communities of the State.
We live and grow together or we die and perish together," the AMCO statement said.
The organisation is offering prayers for the people and the State so that the problems are solved and the bond of fraternity is strengthened.
It is imperative for one and all to make sense prevail at such critical juncture so that no community is provoked in the process of necessary movements for the people like ILPS.
AMCO further appealed to the media houses to maintain neutrality and ensure balance in news coverage on sensitive issues.
