JAC demands compensation for damage of vehicles in Moreh

Imphal, August 22 2015 :
Condemning the August 18 Moreh violent incident, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Imphal Moreh Road Transporters Association has demanded compensation from the State Govt for the vehicles which were damaged during the clash.
President of the JAC, Ng Haridas said that the vehicles kept at Moreh Parking were vandalised by the mob during the violent incident.
Condemning the incident, Haridash appealed to the authorities to clarify on the damage through the media.
He said a total of 24 vehicles, including 11 DIs, 6 Tata Sumos and 7 vans had been vandalized and asked all civil society organisations of Moreh to give assurance not to repeat such incidents in future before August 25 .
The Imphal-Moreh road will be indefinitely blocked from August 26 onwards if a positive response is not given by August 25, warned Haridash.
While urging all the civil organisations to support the bandh, the 24 vandalised vehicles were also shown to media persons at Moreh Parking, Yaiskul Janmasthan in Imphal West.
