RSS meet starts

The three day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) began today at Reshimbagh, Nagpur in Maharashtra.
Altogether 16 karyakartas of the RSS from Manipur are taking part in the conclave which will be attended by 1529 leaders and delegates of RSS and its affiliated organisations from across the country.
It is said that an election to appoint general secretary (sarkaryawah) and new president (sangchalak) for 11 zones will be held during the conclave and they will assume office for the next three years.
The ABPS is being convened after six years as the conclave scheduled in 2021 was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.
It is also said that a roadmap will be framed for the centenary year of the organisation (1925-2025) .
The opening day of the assembly saw the gathering offering tributes to 67 functionaries and leaders of RSS and its affiliated organisations including former Governor of Assam, Manipur, Tripura and Nagaland PV Acharya and famous classical musician and singer Ustad Rashid Khan among others who have passed away.
