CC teacher Meghachandra selected for KHONGA award

Imphal, January 02 2025: Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has informed that the Chingoo Maichou Khongnang Thaba (CHI-MA-KHA) Award (KHONGA), 2025 will be presented to Churachand Higher Secondary School mathematics lecturer Salam Meghachandra Singh.

In a release, DESAM secretary (education) Oinam Romesh informed that the award distribution ceremony will be held on its 23rd foundation day on Friday at JN Manipur Dance Academy.

The secretary stated Salam Meghachandra was proposed for the award by CHI-MA-Kha Award Committee based on the survey report of DESAM, recommendations of Education department, clubs, organisations, associations and Meira Paibi.

In another release, DESAM informed that its 23rd foundation day will be held under the theme 'The impact of present crisis on education in Manipuri, and paid respect to all those who sacrificed their lives in safeguarding the identity of Manipur.
