Krishi Vigyan Sankalp Abhiyan campaign continues

The Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) 2025 organised by the ICAR-Krishi Vigan Kendra (KVK) under the supervision of Dr Ch Basudha Devi, HORC/ICAR Manipur State Nodal officer, achieved a significant milestone on the 6th day (June 4, 2025) of its campaign by reaching 54 villages and engaging 6542 farmers.
According to a release issued by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Churachandpur, the VKSA-2025, a nationwide campaign aimed at transforming Indian agriculture through scientific intervention was launched in the district of Churachandpur by Thangboi Gangte, MCS, ADC of Churachandpur district, along with Head of Line Departments, District Agriculture, District Horticulture and Soil Conservation, District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry & District Fishery Office on Thursday, May 29, 2025 .
As on June 4, 2025 the campaign teams which comprised KVK Churachandpur, ICAR Manipur Centre and Line Departments have achieved half of the target of VKSA-2025 despite heavy rainfell and emerging flood conditions in Manipur.
During the past 6 days of the ongoing campaign, 54 villages and 6582 farmers were covered by sanitising and mobilising through awareness programmes, demonstrations and interactive sessions.
In the campaign, experts were highlighted on soil health campaign, modem agricultural practices for Kharif crops, soil and water conservation, climate resilient technologies, natural farming, composite fish culture, off-season vegetable cultivation, Vermicomposting, Integrated Farming System, Resource Conservation Technologies, Animal feed/heahh management and Campaigning on Govt.Schemes.
The campaign will continue until June 12, 2025 .
Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) 2025 aims to bring a sustainable and developed agriculture in Churachandpur district, Manipur with the critical role of ICAR, CAU KVKs and line departments.
