ICC plans month-long Irawat tribute events

Imphal, August 27 2024: Irawat Celebration Committee (ICC) has resolved to conduct month-long observance of the 129th birth anniversary of Jananeta Irawat from September 1 under the slogan 'Month-long observance for protection of Manipur integrity' .

In a release, ICC informed that Dr M Nara and M Joykumar have been appointed as secretary of the Celebration Committee during a meeting held on Monday and adopted several resolutions for upholding Manipur's integrity.

During the observance, the ideas and activities of Irawat will be dissected to the masses and demands raised to the government for finding solution to the present crisis.

The month-long programme for protecting the integrity of Manipur will be launched on September 1 at Irawat Bhawan by paying floral tributes to the statue of Irawat.

Several programmes will also be organised in different parts of the state, it added.
