PREPAK celebrates 45th Red Army Uprising Day

Imphal, March 26 2025: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) celebrated the 45th Red Army Uprising Day of its armed wing Red Army on Wednesday together with the people of both hills and valley of Kangleipak (Manipur).

According to a PREPAK statement issued by publicity officer Mangal Khuman, the Red Army Uprising Day functions were held at the party's Central Headquarters (CHQ), General Headquarters (GHQ), 707 Mobile battalion, Tactical Headquarters (THQ), base areas, transit camps and training centres.

The main observance at the CHQ was attended by the party's interim council chairman as chief guest, charge-de-affairs of publicity & propaganda as functional president and assistant charge-de-affairs of publicity & propaganda as guest of honour.

Referring to the address of the interim council chairman at the main observance, the PREPAK statement said the chairman criticised India's 'divide and rule' policy in Kangleipak (Manipur) .

Disunity and conflict in the region and the resultant suffering of the people are all due to India's strategies to suppress revolutionary movement, it contended, reflecting India's outlook towards Kangleipak (Manipur) and the region.

"Mercenaries brought into Kangleipak (Manipur) from outside and nurtured by India are working together with the Assam Rifles and other Indian security forces," the chairman said and urged revolutionary groups for coordinated efforts to defeat the enemy.

The PREPAK interim council chairman also stressed that youth of Kangleipak (Manipur) must dedicate themselves to the liberation movement and fight against India's oppressive design and tactics.

The statement further said the function at GHQ was attended and addressed by Red Army's chief of army staff (CAS), charge-de-affairs of medical and family welfare and deputy charge-de-affairs of finance department, organisation-1 and organisation.

In honour of the victims of the ongoing violence since May 3, 2023, Red Army comrades wore black ribbon during the celebration function which began with unfurling of the party's flag by the CAS and gun salute to comrades martyred during the course of the liberation movement for restoration of the lost sovereignty of Kangleipak (Manipur).

According to the statement, the 45th Red Army Uprising Day at 707 Mobile battalion of United Base Area was also attended by NSCN/GPRN chairman Yung Aung as chief guest.
