Awareness programme on 'POCSO Act' held

Imphal, January 27 2025: Social Welfare Department and GSDCC, Angtha Gram.

Panchayat organised one day awareness programme on 'POCSO Act' at Angtha communitv hall on Monday with Keirao Bitra BDO T Inaoyaima, Angtha GP Administrative Committee chairperson Thiyam Manihal, Imphal East district social welfare officer Waikhom Thamapati, Imphal East district child protection officer Konjengbam Anita, Imphal East legal-cum probation officer Reena Chanu Moirangthem and Imphal East Women police station OC E Avangleima as the presidium members.

Addressing the gathering.

district social welfare officer Waikhom Thamapati informed that the awareness programme is a part of 'Nasa Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' campaign which was launched on August 15, 2020 and will cover 270 districts across the country.
