Lamlai MLA inspects road work, slams rumour-mongers

Imphal, September 19 2026: Lamlai AC MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha has appealed to unsuccessful candidates to stop misleading the public in the constituency.

Speaking to the media today during inspection of repairing work of the 5 km road from Nongada Awang Leikai to Chingnungkhok Happy Lahd via 'National Highway 202, Ibomcha said some persons with political motives are spreading false information and creating divisions.

He said development works in the constituency were hampered due to the prevailing unrest and many work programmes could not be taken up by engineers.

With gradual improvement in the situation, development works have resumed.

Appealing for public cooperation, he said MLAs are elected to serve the people and asked people to support development works instead of spreading rumours.
