SHRI notifies on alternative routes

Imphal, January 02 2025:
Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) has informed the public about closure of the Lamphel-Shija Hospital Road due to the ongoing Lamphelpat Water Body Rejuvenation Project, as notified by the Water Resources Department on December 31, 2024 .
As part of this project, the construction of a cable-stayed bridge has necessitated the permanent closure of the road.
As per a release of SHRI, to ensure uninterrupted access to healthcare services, Shija Hospitals has arranged alternative routes for patients and visitors.
The hospital can now be accessed via Thangmeiband/Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Lamphel or Naoremthong/Iroishemba.
"We request all visitors to plan their travel accordingly and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The team at Shija Hospitals is available to assist with any queries or provide directions.
Visitors are encouraged to contact the Call Centre at +91 94026 41670 for further support", it said.
Shija Hospitals also appealed to the state government to expedite the construction of the bridge, considering the critical role of the hospital, its medical college with 40 per cent state nominees, and other key institutions such as NIT, Imphal.
"Additionally, we request the repair and provision of street lighting on alternate routes to ensure safe and convenient travel for all commuters," it stated.
