SEGC meeting held

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh chaired the 1 st meeting of the State Employment Guarantee Council (SEGC) for the FY 2017-18 today.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of Old Secretariat, South Block, Imphal.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister said co-operation of all the stakeholders is required for successful implementation of all Government schemes in the State.
He further appealed to the DCs and officials to educate local governing bodies like the Zilla Parishads about the schemes for their proper and successful implementation.
he agendas discussed during the meeting included post facto approval of the Labour Budget proposed for the FY 2017-18, review of financial and physical progress for the FY 2016-17, approved (PDs) Persondays and Fund requirement for the remaining period, commitments of the State/Districts with regards to focus areas, completion of incomplete works, delay in payments of wages, GeO MGNREGA, more focus on creation to natural resource/quality and durable assets creation, creation of individual assets, construction of roads in accordance with the standard specification, job card verification and updation, adoption of seven register in the Gram Panchayat/ villages, Aadhaar seeding, SECC data and deprived households, social audit, framing of Grievances Redressal Rules and appointment of Ombudsman, e-FMS Universalisation, Barefoot Technicians (BFTs) training and deployment, status of compliance of audit observation of C&AG, constitution of State Employment Guarantee Council (SEGC) and status of the meeting, deployment and training of technical personnel, capacity building of the technical personal-DTRT &BTRT training, issues pertaining to livelihood and convergence and others.
The meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary (Finance), Principal Secretary (Labour), Secretary (RD&PR), all DPCs/DCs and non-official members.
