Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Sorokhaibam Rajen along with officials of the department concerned inspected the condition of the accelerated urban water supply scheme and solid waste management plant at Lamdeng under Lamshang Kendra.
The construction of the Rs 200 crore accelerated urban water supply scheme began around 2005-06.The still unfinished project has begun crumbling, with most of its wall and structures breaking due to lack of quality control during construction process.

Rajen further appealed to the people of the area to extend cooperation to the workers in order to finish the pending works and urged them not to create any kind of obstruction.
He also urged the people to keep an eye on the workers and see if they are doing proper quality control.
