MSKA announces list of fellows, awardees

Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) has announced the list of persons selected as MSKA Fellow, MSKA Award and MSKA Young Talent Award for the year 2025 .
According to the notice issued by MSKA secretary Sunanda Thokchom on Mon day, Heisnam Sabitri and Leimapokpam Lakpati Singh have been selected as MSKA Fellow.
The artistes selected for MSKA Award (Performing Art) are Rajkumari Jayatisana Devi (Dance), Keisham Jadu Singh (Dance), Gurumayum Chandan Devi (Dance), Tekcham Radheshyam Singh (Musick Laishram Ibopishak Singh (Music), Arambam Jamuna Devi (Music), Dr Sana-bam Thaninleima (Theatre), Sorensangbam Lakhikanta Singh (Theatre), Mutum Lukhoi Singh (Shumang Leela), Okram Manglem Meetei (Thang-Ta), Thangjam Dashrat Singh (Other Forms of Art-Lairik Theeba-Haiba), Khuraijam Girani Singh (Other Forms of Art-Arangpham), Poudongai Kamson (Tribal Culture) and Athoi Dhangmei (Tribal Culture).
The author/translators for MSKA Award are Imojeet Ningombam for his book of poems entitled "Loibee Chinggum Lengdana" (Literature-Creative Work in Manipuri); Dr W Kumari Chanu for her book of critical essays "Humphutaragee Nonglei Matungee Yening" (Literature-Critical Work in Manipuri); and MM Ahmed for his work of translation entitled "Umrao Jan Ada (Manipuri translation of Umrao Jan Ada, a novel by Mirza Hadi Ruswa)" (Literature-Translation) .
The artists selected for MSKA Award (Fine Arts) are Aribam Joychandra Sharma for his painting entitled 'Peace II' and Sanabam Manorama Devi for her graphic entitled "Lai Ekoukhatpa' .
The artistes selected for MSKA Young Talent Award are Dr Pukhrambam Lilabati Devi (Dance), Namaram Rajesh wor Singh (Music), Laishram Shyamkumar Singh (Theatre), Moirangthem Lamnganba Meetei (Thang-Ta), Nongmeikapam Monalisha Devi (Other Forms of Art-Traditional Consume Designing), and Thakmei Yainao Lunghar (Tribal Culture) .
While the MSKA Fellow carries a cash value of Rs 1 lakh, a certificate of honour and a shawl, the MSKA Award (Performing Art, Literature & Fine Arts) carries a cash value of Rs 50,000, a certificate of honour and a shawl.
The MSKA Young Talent Award has a cash value of Rs 25,000, a certificate of honour and a shawl.
The MSKA Fellows, Awards and Young Talent Awards will be presented by the Governor of Manipur, who is also the chairman of MSKA at a grand investiture ceremony, the date of which will be announced in due course, the notice informed.
