Issues of state farmers discussed

The myriad problems being faced by the farmers of Manipur were discussed during a meeting of 25 village representatives from five districts of the state held with All India Organizing Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Dinesh Dattatraya Kulkarni on February 10 at Seva Bharti office.
According to a statement of Baharatiya Kisan Sangh Pranta (BKSP) Manipur, issues like inadequate irrigation, non-sanction of farmers' crop loan, unsatisfactory implementation of mini dams and RLI projects, unavailability of aids for animal husbandry, improper supply of seeds, fertilizers and Kisan Credit Card to the farmers were discussed during the meeting.
13 new members of BKSP Manipur were also elected.
Namei-rakpam Indubhuson and Ningthoujam Shyamchand have been elected President and General Secretary respectively.
