Imphal, March 26 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has handed over an appointment letter to Naorem Roshibina Devi, appointing her as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sports) .

The Arjuna Awardee Wushu player was hosted by the Governor today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, where she was presented with the appointment letter.

She has been appointed as the DSP (Sports) in recognition of her achievements and contributions in the field of sports, and for being a source of inspiration to the younger generations, said the Governor.

Governor Bhalla congratulated her and wished her success in her future endeavours.

Roshibina had won a silver medal in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China (2023) .

She had won a silver in the World Wushu Championship in Texas, USA (2023) .

She won a gold in the 2023 Moscow Wushu Stars Championship in Russia.

Roshibina was conferred with the Arjuna Award by President Droupadi Murmu in January 2024 .
