Imphal, April 07 2023: As observed across the world, Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church also observed Good Friday at Chingmeirong today commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary.

Pastor of MBC Centre Church Rev Zuankamang Daimai led the gathering in a worship service with the offering of prayers and worship songs.

As a part of today's observation programme, the children of MBC Centre Church Children Ministry showcased a play based on the theme "The Passion of Christ" .

Following this, Rev Y Modarsim gave a speech on the topic "The Cost of the Cross" .

Speaking on the occasion, Pastor Zuankamang Daimai said that Jesus Christ the savior, had sacrificed himself for all the sins of mankind and gave his life on the cross more than 2,000 years ago.

The Good Friday observation programme was organised to remember the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ and offer prayers, he maintained.

The Pastor urged people to follow in the footsteps of Christ and forgive those who have wronged them and live with each other in harmony.

"Just as Jesus loved everyone irrespective of their differences, let us also emulate the noble teachings of Christ", he said.

Lastly, with the arrival of Good Friday, the Pastor prayed for every one to be showered with blessings.

The members of MBC Centre Church also observed a fast to mourn the crucifixion of Christ.
