The Central Inter-Ministerial team led by Special Consultant (North East) of Union Planning Commission Firoza Mehoratra which was in the State on a three-day visit left today giving thumbs up to IFAD funded projects and NREGS being taken up in the State while advising some other Depts to put in more efforts.
According to a reliable source, during the course of inspection in their three-day long visit the multi-sectoral team of the Centre expressed satisfaction over the progress of the IFAD funded projects being taken up in Ukhrul and Senapati districts as well as the implementation of NREGS.
However, the Central Inter-Ministerial team set up by the Union Home Ministry with main focus on development of the Northeastern States had recommended to the State Govt for giving special attention on Loktak Conservation Project of the LDA and the IAY and SGSY scheme of the Rural Development Department.
The team would be submitting its inspection report to the Home Ministry, the source added.
On the last day of the visit today, the team had inspected Loktak Conservation Project and Takmu Water Sports Complex before being flown to New Delhi.
