Haraorou bodies condole demise Tomba

Imphal, October 27 2026: A condolence meeting was held at Haraorou, Imphal East, on Tuesday to mourn the demise of Th Tomba, 90, foundermember of Village Development Committee, Haraorou.

The meeting was jointly organised by Village Development Committee Haraorou, Youth Modem Club Haraorou, Nupi Semgat Sagat Lup, Tolomkhomba Lai Committee and Haraorou GP Level Cooperative Society.

Members of the organisations paid floral tributes to the portrait of the departed soul and observed two minutes of silence as a mark of respect.

At the event, Village Development Committee Haraorou vice president Usham Nilachandra said late Th Tomba rendered valuable service for Haraorou's development when the village was neglected by the Government, taking initiative in road construction and various development works, and playing a pivotal role in setting up the cooperative society and linkages with schools and colleges.

The meeting shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
