Imphal, November 04 2026: Human Rights Alert (HRA), Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) and Youth Collective Manipur (YCM) organised "democratic discourse" at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal, from October 14 to November 4 .

The discourse which was conducted in a seminar format discussed several key issues facing Manipur including ethnic tension, alleged imposition of buffer zones and blockades affecting transport activities on highways.

The "initiative" brought together aspiring candidates face-to-face with subject experts on the issues.

While invitations were extended to 19 registered political parties, five responded and took part in the discourse on 10 major issues confronting Manipur.

The organisations, in a statement today, said key takeaways from each of the ten thematic sessions and the lectures will be made available online for public viewing.
