Imphal, December 22 2017: Chief Minister N Biren today assured that a new generator set would be purchased soon for the Manipur Tikendrajit House, New Delhi .

The Chief Minister gave this assurance in the State Assembly in response to a call attention motion raised by Congress MLA (Thangmeiband AC) Kh Joykisan .

It is a matter of shame in front of other States that the power supply to Manipur Tikendrajit House is quite irregular and the generator set installed there is not functional, Joykisan said.

To Joykisan's assertion that some juveniles have been working at the Manipur Tikendrajit House, Biren maintained that he did not have any knowledge about juveniles working there .

Nonetheless, he assured the House that due process would be initiated to remove the juveniles in case any one of them is working there .

Informing the House that the State Government has been working to engage people who know Manipuri language in all Manipur Bhavans located in different cities, Biren claimed that due process has been initiated to make Manipuri food items available at all Manipur Bhavan canteens.
