STS honours meritorious students from Monsang community

Chandel, July 27 2025: The Sirti Thihimjiitam Soukhre (STS), Monsang Naga Students' Union, felicitated meritorious and outstanding students of the Monsang community during the STS Meritorious Award 2025 ceremony held at Liwa Sarei village in Chandel district on Saturday.

Apart from those who excelled in Class X and XII exams, conducted by COHSEM, BOSEM, and CBSE, the programme also honoured achievers in other fields.

Notable among them were Konthang Ngoruh Monsang, conferred with a PhD in Philosophy; Ngurii Ningsihngam Patrick of Japhou Primary School, winner of the 1st prize at the State Level Quiz Competition under RAA Elementary 2024-25; Nguruti Rothangrii Monsang, secured a place in the Top 100 Students in India under the Secondary Stage category of the Veergatha 4.0 contest, organised by the Gallantry Awards Portal of India; Thumthiti Alana Rhingbortin Monsang, student of Martial Arts Taekwondo club, Chandel on winning gold at the 5th India Progressive National Open Championship 2025 in the Cadet category.
