Imphal, March 26 2025: In response to the ongoing Telipatti Mandir area controversy, the Vaishya Youth Club and residents of Telipatti have clarified that people of the area never objected to peaceful performance of any religious activities as reported in both print and digital media.

A press note bearing the signatures of 30 Telipatti residents including Vaishya Youth Club representatives, has refuted "falsely propagated" information claiming that residents of Telipatti prevented people from conducting their religious puja or observances.

The press note clarified that the only objection raised was to the "unauthorized encroachment on pond area" which is allegedly maintained by the Vaishya Youth Club.

The press note has further urged the public to refrain from believing or spreading unverified and inflammatory information, especially on social media and to maintain peace and harmony.
