Imphal, March 26 2025: Manipur Meitei Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO) organised a Grand Iftar Party at Mayang Imphal Bengoon Sati Khongnang Khong Ground under the theme "Peace, Unity and Integrity" today.

The event was graced by Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei, MLA, Keirao AC; Kongkham Robindro, MLA, Mayang Imphal AC; Sheikh Noorul Hassan, MLA, Kshetrigao AC; Md Ali Chesabam, president, MMWO and Ashang Kasar, convenor, Forum for Restoration of Peace among others.

Speaking at the event, Md Ali Chesabam stressed on the need to find the reason behind repeated inter-community conflicts in Manipur and expressed hope that the Grand Iftar Party will steer the State towards peace.

Meanwhile, MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan highlighted the need for Manipur to be led by a competent leader who can view all communities equally and bring different communities together.

Stating that the participation of both hill and valley people at the Grand Iftar Party might positively signal Manipur's journey towards peace, he urged everyone to work collectively for peace and harmony to return to Manipur.
