Imphal, January 14 2026: A three-day farmers training programme on "Scientific Cultivation of Cucurbits for Higher Returns", organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bishnupur district, concluded on Wednesday at Sunusiphai.

The training programme witnessed the participation of 47 farmers from different parts of Bishnupur district.

The valedictory function was attended by KVK B ishnupur SMS (Horticulture), Dr P Bijaya; Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Bishnupur, District Officer S Sushila; and Farmers' Club, Sunusiphai president L Shyamkumar, among others as presidium members.

Seeds of HYV watermelon "Arka Shyama" and bush squash variety "Arka Patty Pan", were distributed.
