SHDDCs demand is a creation of war to Liangmei Community

The ongoing strike and blockade of SHDDC towards the creation of Sadar Hills as a full fledged Revenue District is a creation of war and problem to the native village of Liangmai community, charges Th Kaisi Liangmai, secretary, Information and Publicity, Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur, in a press statement.
The press release further appeals to the state government not to take hasty decision without the concent of Liangmai, Zeliangrong and Nagas.
The press release further states that about 15 to 20 villages of Liangmai presently falls under the so called Sadar Hills.
The villages have existed from time immemorial.
After independence the villages of Liangmai were occupied by other communities with fake registrations.
The present map for creation of Sadar Hills District were drawn more than half of Liangmai land even touching Liangmai head Quarter, Tamei, which is without the consent of Liangmai community, said the release.
In the history of Manipur no names of any community except Liangmai appears in the western part of SHDDC.
All the names of hills and plains have been named after Liangmai dialect, said the press release.
The press release further warns the state government that if the government is to create a separate Sadar Hills district then the torned Liangmai should be put under one administrative rule and create a separate district for Liangmai.
Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur will fight for the cause of their future.
