Awareness programme at Youth Development Pioneer Organisation

A two-day awareness programme organised under the aegis of Central Board of Workers' Education of the Ministry of Labour and Employment (govt of India) concluded today at the Arapti Heining Makhong premises of Youth Development Pioneer Organisation.
While social worker N Itomba Meetei and EO (CBWE) SB Meetei attended the closing programme as the chief guest and president respectively, W Suresh as the guest of honour cum resource person elaborated on 'the role of women in Manipur and social activities' .
Exhorting the womenfolk to play the leading role in eradicating various social ailments, Suresh conveyed that rather than tolerating discrimination and domestic violence a victim woman should air grievances and lodge a formal complaint to the Manipur Women Commission office located at Imphal West DC office complex, Lamphelpat.
speaking at the occasion, N Itomba strongly advocated that the women too contribute their mite in supplementing the family income by availing various welfare programmes being initiated by different departments.
He also assured all possible assistance by approaching authorities of department concerned so that the problem of poverty could be eradicated from the entire Keirao assembly constituency.
