5 Day Long First International Imphal Art Camp Concludes

"neScholar Magazine" presents the 5 day long first international Imphal art camp, 2017, organised by Northeast Brothers Entertainments with Kangla Art Group (KAG) and Mix-Media Foundation Concluded on Monday at Slopeland public school, Khongjom salt village.
The camp is being held with financial support from Manipur Toursim, department of Art and Culture and Slopeland public school.
The closing ceremony was attended by Former Minister Art and Culture Dr.M.Nara as chief guest, Principal of Slopeland Public School N.Babulin as president, Director of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Manipur Prof.Ramjeevan Singh Thakur and Senior Artist Laishram Phonindro Singh as guest of honours, respectively.
Chief guest of the ceremony, Dr.M.Nara said that art is an endless human creativity.
Therefore, what people consider as a beautiful piece of art may not be the same in a different place.
The art we produce here is not at par with those produced at the western societies.
So, it is imperative that we try to improve our art so that it reach the level of international standards, he said.
60 artists were participated in the camp, including two from Korea, 18 from other Indian states and 40 from Manipur.
