Imphal, July 14 2010:
Two minors including a six-year-old girl died of suspected Japanese Encephalitis at Tupul, Nungba Sub-division of Tamenglong district.
According to the Chairman of Charoi Chagotlong (Tupul) Village, Champou (13) s/o Gaibamguang and Baby Pelu d/o Sianjanlung (6) died on July 13 and 14 respectively showing similar symptoms of Japanese Encephalitis, said a release issued by the General Secretary of Nungba Citizens' Council.
Informing that many other persons are also down with the same symptoms, Nungba Citizens' Council urged the State Govt to take up remedial measures to control the situation.
