Imphal, July 01 2009: Expressing relief and happiness, North Valley Stone Crusher Owners Welfare Association, constituted by owners of stone crushers located along National Highway 39 from Koirengei to Sekmai, Manipur thanked the Kangleipak Communist Party, Military Council (KCP-MC), a Manipur based militant outfit, for releasing the two truck drivers today who were abducted from Sekmai river on June 24 in connection with monetary demands from the owners of stone crushers.

The two truck drivers Huidrom Bishorjit (32), son of H Iboyaima of Kanto Turen Wangma and Konsam Somen (35), son of (L) K Tonsana of Tendonyang, both of Imphal West district were abducted in connection of monetary demand of Rs.30,000 from each stone crusher owner along National Highway 39, from Koirengei to Sekmai by the KCP(MC).
