Imphal, November 04 2026: An Outreach Programme of IMA Chenghi was held today at Tamphasana Girls' Higher Secondary School, organised by M/s Holistic Enterprise, producer of IMA Chenghi, Traditional Manipuri Herbal Shampoo.

Principal of Tamphasana Girls' Hr Sec School Dr Vinita Devi Elangbam, Deputy Director, MSME Technology Centre, Imphal Dr S Yoirentomba and founder of IMA Chenghi and former State Director, KVIC, Government of India, Sanasam Birendra Singh attended as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanasam Birendra Singh said IMA Chenghi was started in 2016 and has now completed 10 years, with its journey about 70% successful.

He said the outreach programme was organised to inform the younger generation about the benefits of traditional shampoo Chenghi and to promote it.

Similar programmes will be held in other schools, he added.

He said IMA Chenghi is an effort to revive the traditional Chenghi used since ancient times.

It helps prevent hair damage, premature greying, hair fall and dandruff.

It is made from purely local medicinal plants, he added.

He said IMA Chenghi has been scientifically proven by ICAR .

He appealed to use local and indigenous products, and said IMA Chenghi can also be gifted to sisters and brothers on Ningol Chakkouba.
