1st round of National Deworming Day begins today

Imphal, April 29 2024: Directorof State Health Society (SHS), National Health Mission (NHM), Manipur, Dr Somorjit Ningombam has said that preparations have been made to vaccinate/deworm around 9,25,124 children in the State in the 1st round of the National DewormingDay2024.Speaking to media persons at SHS office in Lamphel, Dr Somorjit informed that the 1st round will be launched at Malom Mega High School on April 30, 2024.He continued that the 1st round will aim to cover around 9,25,124 children of the State, between the age of 1 and 19 years.

Dr Somorjit also asserted that another programme will be organised on May 7 to cover the children who failed to get vaccinated on the first day.
