KYU conducts career guidance programme

Kangpokpi, June 11 2018:
Kangpokpi Youth Union, in a bid to inculcate the right career decision among the young students of the town, organized a felicitation cum career guidance programme Monday at Community Hall, Kangpokpi DHQs.
More than hundred students of Kangpokpi who have passed the Class X and XII examinations of the BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE with flying colours were felicitated and encouraged for future endeavours.
Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education Commerce topper, Chongdeinem Guite and COHSEM Science 16 th rank holder, Thangkhochon Joyson Haokip, both from Kangpokpi DHQs were also felicitated during the felicitation cum career guidance programme.
Chongdeinem Guite was awarded with V Kipgen Meritorious Award while Thangkhochon Joyson Haokip was awarded with Haokholun Chongloi Meritorious Award for their outstanding performance in respective exams.
KYU also acknowledged the commendable contribution of Saint Francis De Sales School, Daili in securing 100% pass percentage in the HSLC Examination 2018 among many other schools within Kangpokpi.
Lungouthang Singson, Lamneichong Singson, Jims Hengouthang Chongloi from Diamond English High School, Thangboilen Kipgen, Kamminhao Chongloi from SFS Daili and Jangminlun Kipgen from Diamond English High School Kangpokpi in HSLC 2018 (BOSEM) category were also awarded by the KYU.
In HSE 2018 (COHSEM) category, Boisi Chongloi from JNV Mao and Lhingnunhoi Kipgen from Elite Hr Sec School Kangpokpi were awarded while in the CBSE category, Cindy Kipgen, Lhinghoiching Lunkim and Veineithem Khongsai were awarded during the occasion.
Rev J Lunkim, Pastor, Kangpokpi Christian Church attended the occasion as Minister while Jampu Kipgen, president, Manipur State Private Schools and Children Welfare Association and Haochon Haokip, general secretary Kangpokpi Town Committee attended as special guest.
Lalminlen Misao Hangmi, MPS, Addl SP Ukhrul and Thanggou Misao Hangmi, Chief Manager, SBI Corporate Centre, Mumbai attended as resource persons in the career guidance event.
Rev J Lunkim administered thanksgiving and blessing prayer for the successful students and encouraged them.
Lalminlen Misao Hangmi, MPS, Addl SP Ukhrul, a native of Kangpokpi delivered his lecture on civil services while Thanggou Misao Hangmi motivated the students community on various issues.
