Police community liaison group meeting held

Tengnoupal, June 11 2018:
Meeyamgi Numit cum Police Community Liaison Group Meeting was held at Moreh Police IB on Monday.
The representatives of the people and CSOs at the meeting put forward various grievances to the officials of various departments including the Police.
Despite being a district, Tengnoupal has no District Transport Office and it has caused immense problem and inconvenience to the people of the district, the representatives of the CSOs pointed out appealing the officials at the meeting to forward the grievances to higher authorities for proposal of installation of a DTO office in the district.
The representatives of the various CSOs at the meeting appealed the officials to improve and take remedial actions to prevent frequent inundation of water on the road to Gate No 2 .
The representatives sought the attention of the Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal to hold meeting with his Myanmar counterpart (Tamu DC) to ease and permit vehicles entering Tamu.
Regarding a new shopping mall near Gate No 2, the CSOs expressed disappointment that the mall is yet to start functioning.
The representatives expressed concern over the lack of remedial actions regarding the various appeals made in connection with the Moreh Hospital and further appealed the authorities concerned to send adequate doctors at the hospital.
During the meeting, the representatives of the CSOs and various other bodies expressed gratitude and thanked the SP Tengnoupal, Dr Ibomcha for his commendable and courageous act in saving two lives who felled into a gorge near Leingangtabi on June 7 in an accident.
The Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal Tombi Kanta at the meeting promised Rs 50,000 to Jehova Jereh Children Home and assured he will do his best to address the issues put before him.
Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal Tombikanta, SP Tengnoupal Dr S Ibomcha, DSP CDO Moreh Th Thomas, OC Moreh Police Letkhohao Vaiphei, OC CDO Moreh Shaktishen, OC Moreh Fire Service Surchandra, other police officials, officials of Forest Department and leaders and representatives of CSOs attended the meeting.
