CAU Imphal celebrates 32nd foundation day

Imphal, January 27 2025: The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day on Sunday at the auditorium of College of Agriculture (CAO), Iroisemba.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including CAU Imphal, Vice Chancellor, Dr Anupam Mishra; ISKCON Manipur, vice president, Swami Ramanuja Das; CAU Imphal, Registrar, Dr T R Sharma; CAU Imphal, Director of Research, Dr Lalita Mohan Garnayak; CAU Imphal, Director of Extension Education, Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma; College of Food Technology, Dean, Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh; Director of Instruction and Dean, COA, Iroisemba, Prof Indira Sarangthem; and Organising Committee chairman, Prof N Brajendra Singh.

At the event, Dr Anupam Mishra highlighted the brief achievement of the University during the last 31 years and elaborated the future strategy of the University for making it as a Centre of Excellence in Agricultural education.

Later, the dignitaries presented awards to the winners of different events in the Games & Sports Meet-2025 held on January 25, 2025 at the COA, CAU, Imphal.

Notably, CAU Imphal was established on January 26, 1993 by an act of the Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 (No 40 of 1992) .
