AR conducts skill workshop for locals of Shalluk village

Aimed at fostering self-reliance and promoting economic growth within the local community, Assam Rifles successfully conduct a Skill workshop on candle making for the residents of Shalluk village, Chandel district.
The workshop witnessed participation from 20 individuals who learned the craft of candle making, a skill that offers opportunities for creative expression and entrepreneurship.
This initiative particularly focused on empowering women by equipping them with necessary tools to explore small-scale business ventures and contribute to their household income, said IGAR (S) in a release issued.
Participants expressed enthusiasm about utilizing their newly acquired skills to establish small enterprises, with many already envisioning opportunities to supply handmade candles for local markets and festivals, said IGAR (S) Local residents appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in organizing such workshops, recognizing it as a valuable platform for developing sustainable skills and improving livelihoods.
