Thoubal, September 19 2026: With an aim to empower Self Help Group (SHG) women, the Manipur State 'Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) launched the first 'Back To School Campaign' for Thoubal district at Heirok Part II today.

The campaign was organised by Heirok Part II Gram Panchayat under Wangjing Tentha CD Block in coordination with Ekop Ningthou Village Level Federation under the aegis of MSRLM at Heirok Khunou Upper Primary School.

The campaign aims at empowering SHG women by imparting knowledge in various fields in a school environment.

The launching programme was attended by MSRLM Social Inclusion and Social Developrfient ( SI & SD) State Mission Manager (SMM) Binota Loitongbam; MSRLM Thoubal district, District Mission Manager ( DMM) Rajkumari Nikita; MSRLM Thoubal District SI & SD District Co- ordinator Umesh Yanglem; MSRLM Thoubal district Wangjing-Tentha CD Block Mission Manager (BMM) Sharungbam Ronel Singh; social worker from Heirok Thokchom Dharmendra; Heirok Part II Gram Panchayat Chairperson Moirangthem Manglem and SISD cadres; staff of MSRLM Thoubal District; District I- mentors and PRI members.

In today's launching campaign, a total of 160 members of 15 self help groups of Heirok Part II were taught social inclusion, food nutrition, health and hygiene and other related topics.
