State's active cases rise to 57

Imphal, April 17 2022:
The number of active cases rose to 57 on Sunday as government bulletins reported six new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 227 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 2.64 per cent positivity rate against 2.06 recorded on Saturday.
Neither death cases were reported in the last 24 hours nor any patient discharged in the same period.
Number of active cases rose to 57 out of which 21 (36.84 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,408 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
According to official reports, all the six fresh cases (4 male & 2 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2) and Kakching (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,196 (general population - 1,32,182 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,019 (general population - 1,30,012 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 57 (general population - 57 and CAPF personnel - 0).The recovery rate is 98.41 per cent.
A total of 253 D-type and 71 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 902 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals to 15,49,841, including 11,92,375 who had received the second dose and 70,205 precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48741), Imphal East (30441), Thoubal (10157), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3131), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9836), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) , and Pherzawl (465) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,214 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,762 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,925 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.54 per cent.
