BTSD Pvt Ltd trainees get placement

Imphal, September 07 2019: Bhubon Technical & Skill Development (BTSD) Pvt Ltd chairman N Nabachandra on Saturday flagged off 20 trainees who have got placements at Ahmedabad after completion of their 3 months training for Assistant Electrician at the company.

Speaking at the flagging off function at the premises of the company at Lamdeng Khunou, Imphal West, Naorem Nabachandra said that the BTSD Pvt Ltd is a company established in 2017 under the National Skill Development Co-operation (NSDC) .

The company is providing various skill trainings - electrician, mason, plumber, front office associate etc under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

The company has provided training to around 1,500 youth.

Around 700 have got placement at various cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Noida, Gujarat, Hyderabad and Shillong.

Some of the girls trainees have got placement at Dubai, he said.

BTSD Pvt Ltd is the first company in Manipur to open residential training institute under PMKVY, he said.

Stating that BTSD has earned its reputation, Nabachandra said many outside companies are offering job placements for the trainees.

The 20 trainees flagged off today are joining Bangalore based Crown Company at its Ahmedabad branch, he added.

"At BTSD Pvt Ltd, the trainees are provided free training, free fooding and lodging.

PMKVY provides (reimburses) 50 % of the cost of fooding and lodging and the remaining 50% to be borne by the trainees is provided by the BTSD Pvt Ltd following its endeavour to provide livelihood and grow youth of the State," he said.

Qualification required for undergoing front office associate is Class 12 passed, electrician - Class 10 passed, mason & plumber - below Matric.

Pointing out that Government providing jobs to every individual is not feasible, he said that youth should focus on skill development training programmes to provide themselves job.

Youth should inculcate work culture to solve unemployment issue, he added.

Efforts are on to open tailoring and computer courses, Nabachandra said.
