Imphal, January 02 2025: The 43rd Foundation Day of Manipuri evening daily, 'Kangleipakki Meira' was celebrated today at its office in Keishampat junction.

Working journalists and retired journalists of the State were felicitated as part of the foundation day celebration, said a release issued by Kangleipakki Meira.

Leihaothabam Saratchandra, former president of AMWJU; Salam Bharatbhusan, former editor of Hueiyen Lanpao; Yumnam Ajit, former editor of Kangleipakki Meira; Ningthou-khongjam Tombiraj, former president AMWJU; N Krishnamohan and Athokpam Thoungam Luwang of Sanaleipak were also honoured for their selfless dedication to the line of work.

As part of the celebration, essential food items and winter clothes were also distributed to the children living at The Hope Home Imphal, Takyel Khongbal Maning Leikai.
