Awareness programme / crash course on JEE concludes

The valedictory function of the 3-day awareness programme cum crash course on JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) was held today at IIIT Mantripukhri.
The awareness programme cum crash course was held with an aim to attract Manipuri students to get into institutes of National importance like the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Manipur at Mantripukhri, said a press note by IIIT Manipur.
Nabam Deben, Director of Information Technology, Government of Manipur graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of organising mentorship programmes for the aspiring engineering students of Manipur so that they can crack the exam and join the premier institutes like IIIT Manipur.
He also mentioned about the role of DIT for the startup programs in Manipur and stressed on the need of involvement of students of IIIT.
Delivering the presidential address, Professor Krishnan Baskar, Director IIIT Manipur said that the aspiring engineering students need to have self-confidence and think positively in order to crack the Joint Entrance Exam.
He further stated that IIIT Manipur is committed to attract large number of Manipuri students to the institute and also highlighted various fundings and scholarship opportunities from the Government of India for the disadvantaged section of the society in addition to the collateral free education loans from banks (upto 30 Lakhs for 4 years) .
Prizes were also distributed to the toppers of the mock tests and participants of the programme.
