The Government has relaxed the restrictions on entry of vehicles in the bazar areas to a certain extent giving details of the entry as well as exit points for vehicles from tomorrow.
The relaxation is for light vehicles including two wheelers, cars, Gypsys and entry of heavy vehicles and three wheelers will be restricted from 7 am till 7 pm.
No shop owners, residents of bazar areas will park their vehicles in front of their shops or residences.
In a statement, SSP of Imphal West L Kailun said that one way entry is allowed from southern tip of Paona bazar on Keishampat junction and exit via the northern side of the fly over towards Kangla western gate on BT road.
There shall be no right side diversion either at Diamond crossing or Pratap Talkies diversion.
For entry from BT road (Kangla Western Gate), the SSP said there will be one way entry for Pologround from BT road via the southern side of fly over and left turn towards Pologround and through the Governor road beside the Old Central Library, Keishampat and M Sector via the southern side of Pologround.
Entry is not allowed from Governor road near the Old Central Library and from BT road for Dharamshala or Thangal bazar.
For entry from MG Avenue (NH-39), the SSP said that entry from NH-39 on MG Avenue is allowed for Thangal bazar, Dharamsala etc with exit routes at Khoyathong, MG Avenue, Major Khul and Press Club on NH-39.However there will be restriction of entry towards City police station.
Entry from Kasturi bridge and SS Hotel on Nagamapal road shall exit only at Khoyathong or MG Avenue on NH-39 while entry is not allowed from Assembly road, Majorkhul road and Press Club road (except for entry to Press Club) from
NH-39 .
The entry of vehicles is only for the purpose of picking up and dropping people inside bazar areas.
The public have been asked not to park their vehicles in front of offices, institutions, shops etc.
