Imphal, June 08: Conceding that the president of the KCP, Senggoi Meitei may have certain weaknesses and shortcomings, the two outfits however said that as a human being no is perfect.

Likewise the others may also have certain weaksnesses.

It is also human nature to develop differences and at times take up opposing view points, said the statement and added that the main point is to sort out the differences within the party in time and amicably.

Instead of opting for this path, just floating a faction by levelling charges against the leader or by citing some differences is not the characteristic of a revolutionary outfit.

All differences ought to have been sorted under the principle of democratic centralism and criticism and self criticism, which is there in the Constitution of the KCP, pointed out the statement.

On the other it is also wrong to presume that since so and so was not a good character, he must still be the same and hence they cannot stay with him or his followers, said the two outfits.

Such train of thoughts cannot be the characteristic of any revolutionary.

Factions within a party may arise only in extreme cases when there are sharp differences in ideology or political beliefs, said KYKL and UNLF and added over and above this, the three outfits, namely KYKL, PREPAK and UNLF which had taken so much initiative to unite them earlier, should have been consulted on the growing differences within the KCP.

On the other hand it is also wrong to believe the prediction of some traitors, who are supping with the enemy and working under the name of the KCP, that there will be more splits within the KCP, observed the two outfits.

It is natural for the enemies of the revolutionaries to float theories that go against the interest of the movement.

The two outfits admitted that they were wrong to believe that the process of unity among the KCP factions has been finalised earlier.

Uniting all the factions will take a long process, it admitted and added that as such the three outfits have decided that they would work further until and unless the KCP becomes a united party with strong foundation.

Towards this end, the KYKL and UNLF will take up certain pro-active measures, said the statement.

The three outfits will help to dispel all feelings of suspicion and distrust among the KCP cadres to build a united and strong party, it added.
