BSF names Gate after martyr Deepak

The Border Security Force (BSF) has renamed Gate No 3 of its Chhawla camp in New Delhi in honour of Late Constable Deepak Chingakham, who sacrificed his life during Operation Sindoor while deployed in the RS Pura Sector of the Jammu frontier.
In a statement, the BSF's Public Relations Officer said the gate was renamed to immortalize Deepak's valor and sacrifice.
This symbolic gesture stands as a testament to the courage and dedication displayed by BSF personnel in safeguarding the sovereignty of the Nation, it said.
The BSF also stated that its personnel paid a heartfelt tribute to Late Constable Deepak Chingakham on Kargil Vijay Diwas, 2025.During a ceremony in Imphal, Inspector General of BSF M&C Frontier, Ravi Kant (IPS) honoured Chingakham Naoba Singh, the brother of Late Deepak, it added.
Notably, the Manipur Government had appointed Chingakham Naoba as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) on compassionate grounds, recognizing the sacrifice made by his elder brother.
